Waking Hours by Lis Wiehl. Some sort of novel with demons. Teen girl is killed and only suspects are the other teens that were at the same party. Forensic psychiatrist and former linebacker are having supernatural experiences related to the murder.
Bleed for Me by Michael Robotham. Robotham does good work and his books circ' well here. Psychologist answers his front door to find his daughter's friend covered in blood. The teen girl remembers nothing but the blood is from her dead father.

Back in the pre-internet 1980s and 1990s all I could rely on for movie news was the video store rack, The New Yorker, and Roger Ebert's annual compendiums. I don't recall how I heard about this one but I know I read a review somewhere and it only took 20 years for me to get my hands on a copy.
Plot: Pedro is a young, naive rookie highway patrolman who runs into corruption and poverty in rural Mexico. (The only one of two clips I could find.)
Louis: the complete first season starring Louie C.K. fighting with Nick DePaolo. I posted this before but had to return a defective DVD.
My Week With Marilyn starring Michelle Williams and Kenneth Branagh. Go-fer chauffeurs Marilyn Monroe around.

Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin. 28 CDs at 33.5 hours. I read that the mini-series has a lot of nudity. This makes sense since young men tend to read a lot of fantasy novels. That short guy, Peter Dinklage, always does some good acting.
A Clash of Kings by George R.R. Martin. 31 CDs at 37 hours.
Tell All by Chuck Palahniuk. 5 CDs at 5.5 hours. This was on sale. Some humor novel set in "old Hollywood". Should the quote go before or after the period?
Private Lives of Pippa Lee by Rebecca Miller. 6 CDs at 7.5 hours. 50-year-old wife and her husband have moved to a smaller home in anticipation of retirement. Pippa's wild life from 30 years ago "has begun to seep in and invade her present."
Information Officer by Mark Mills. 8 CDs at 10 hours. Spy drama set on Malta during WWII while the island is under siege by the dirty, rotten, filthy, stinking nazis. I listened to this and thought the story was OK. But, Mills does a fantastic job with the setting.

A Perfect Blood by Kim Harrison. 13 CDs at 17 hours. The cover model on this one is leaning over and showing cleavage so you can assume it is not one of those Amish romances. Some scary guy in the background is veiled in fog.
The Lady Most Likely... by Julia Quinn, Eloisa James, and Connie Brockway. 7 CDs at 8.6 hours. "A novel in three parts." Looks like each author tells the story from a different character. The model on this cover has her back to the reader and is wearing some fancy 1890s dress.
The Mormon People: the making of an American faith by Matthew Bowman. 9 CDs at 11.5 hours. I was going to write that this is probably not that exciting but considering that everyone was trying to kill the Mormons until they hit Utah this has some great potential.
Raylan by Elmore Leonard. 5 CDs at 6.5 hours. Guess who is behind on episodes of Justified? That is correct, I am behind on episodes of Justified. Every time I watch that show I think I should by another Glock.

The revolution in arms design, marketing, and intense business competition. I had a Glock 22 but .40 ammo was too darn expensive compared to 9mm. I saw an ad some used model 21 pistols but .45 ammo is even more expensive than .40.
Marriage Rules: a manual for the married and the coupled up by Harriet Lerner, Ph.D. 106 rules including: Avoid Cutoffs, Apologize, Be Experimental, so on, so forth.

Midnight Rising: John Brown and the raid that sparked the Civil War by Tony Horwitz. Horwitz mines the Civil War again. Before I traveled to Australia for a semester of college I looked around at Australia books. I found a $1.00 copy of Horwitz's One For the Road about hitchhiking the circumference of Australia. I still have it at home.
Blue Nights by Joan Didion. Didion's daughter dies.
Family Circle Family Dinners by Linda Fear, Editor in Chief. Recipes for food.
One Pot and Stews: amazingly tasty...surprisingly simple! by No Name Conglomerate. I may have just weeded a one pot recipe book.

The Killing Way by Tony Hays. Arthur is close to being elected supreme King of Britian but a murdered girl is blamed on Merlin. Mad Malgwyn, Arthur's the one armed scribe, is requested to clear Merlin. Malgwyn despises Arthur for rescuing him from a battlefield death.
Poison Flower by Thomas Perry. Does this guy write spy thrillers as well? Maybe that is another guy, Perry won an Edgar Award.
