One of Each

Day Trader by Stephen Frey. Day trader Augustus McKnight strikes it big one day to have his wife leave him. When Gus' wife is murdered he is the main suspect. After Gus lands a big job as a personal money manager he finds out that his windfall and his wife's murder may be part of a large conspiracy.

Montana Sky starring John Corbett, Ashley Williams and Charlotte Ross. Three half-sisters meet for the first time after the death of their millionaire father. To earn their inheritance they must live together for a year on the father's ranch in Montana. The women expect the year to be tough, but a saboteur makes things worse.

In Deadly Combat: A German soldier's memoir of the Eastern Front by Gottlob Herbert Bidermann. "Bidermann's riveting and reflective combat memoir vividly conveys the brutality and horrors of the Eastern Front in detail never before available in English." I've read a couple other German experiences on the eastern front and the stories are incredible.

Hard Row by Margaret Maron. Judge Deborah Knott and Deputy Dwight Bryant are newly married and both involved in the investigation of a murder in Colleton County, North Carolina.

Sweet Revenge by Diane Mott Davidson. Goldy Schulz thinks she sees the supposedly dead murderer of Goldy's ex-husband. When the local DA dies with a treasure map Goldy is convinced.

Fiction and Three CDs

Sweet Warrior by Richard Thompson. I already received a copy of this from another library but have not listened to it much. Here is a review. Coincidentally, Thompson's tune When the Spell is Broken is playing on the computer right now.

Big Dog Daddy by Toby Keith. A country singer with a big mouth. I meant that literally, but from the little I know about him it is true figuratively.

5th Gear by Brad Paisley. Another country album. Sixteen tunes by Paisley with a big anti-piracy warning across the disc's front.

Dead Ex by Harley Jane Kozak. Comedic murder mystery set in the world of Soap Opera actors and producers.

Play Dirty by Sandra Brown. Disgraced quarterback Griff Burkett is released from prison and gets dangerous job offer from the owner of an airline.

Thunder Bay by William Kent Krueger. Minnesota private detective Cork O'Connor hunts down the long lost Canadian son of his Ojibwe Spiritual adviser, Henry. When someone tries to kill Henry, evidence points to his newly found and wealthy son in Thunder Bay, Ontario.

Force of Nature by Suzanne Brockmann. A thriller in Florida. I didn't bother reading past that part of the description.

Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid starring Robert Redford and Paul Newman. This is a replacement for a broken DVD. Tye new one has a second DVD of extras.
