Three Audiobooks on CD

Audiobook on CD

A Welcome Grave by Michael Koryta. 10 CDs at 11.5 hours. PI investigates a murder.

Media

Music on CD

Femme Fatale by Britney Spears. Femme fatale? Britney has been leading people to death and destruction? Maybe she was influenced by reading too many Megan Abbott books. Just kidding. I don't think Britney Spears reads many novels.

Adult DVD

Black Swan starring Natalie Portman, Vincent Cassel, Mila Kunis. I am shocked, shocked, to read the production hired a professional ballet dancers to stand-in for Portman. Find the movie trailer yourself, my computer still freezes up on YouTube pages.

Books on CD

Border Lords by T. Jefferson Parker.

Now You See Her by Joy Fielding.

Deja Vu by Fern Michaels.

Author Photo Discussions for April 5th Releases

Fiction

Once Upon A Time, There Was A You by Elizabeth Berg. Small, color photo with a bright, joyful smile.

44 Charles Street by Danielle Steel. Steel's standard glamour photo covers the whole back cover.

The Fifth Witness by Michael Connelly. Connelly's photo also covers the whole back cover. Connelly has small lenses in his glasses and no tie. Photo taken outside in bright sunlight with saturated colors.

Late Edition by Fern Michaels. Same photo appears on her other books. Michaels is sitting on a couch, wearing a peach colored shirt, and covered in dogs.

The Silver Boat by Luanne Rice. Rice is outdoors wearing a thin cardigan and shown from the hips up. The background is blurry. Rice's face and upper chest are focused but everything below her breastline has been blurred.

The Judgment by Beverly Lewis. Small, color, head shot on the back. A studio shot that looks to be several years old. Lewis sells so many books I doubt she cares how old the photo is.

I'll Walk Alone by Mary Higgins Clark. Another glamour styled shot covering the back photo. But, Clark is not dressed like she is going to a ball. She is dressed more like she will be speaking to an audience and put on some extra nice jewelry.

Treason at Lisson Grove by Anne Perry. Smaller photo on the inside of the back flyleaf. Perry is not smiling. Her expression is both stern and amused.

Mobbed by Carol Higgins Clark. Back cover photo using a quarter of the space. This is a large photo for a head shot. Clark is a good looking gal and the photo looks unnecessarily retouched.

Crunch Time by Diane Mott Davidson. Black and white photo inside the flyleaf. Likely a professional photo but with the flavor of a outdoor snapshot.
