New DVD, Old DVD, New NonFic, Old Detroit

Casino Royale starring Daniel Craig. This is a replacement for a disc that went missing. I always think the actress who stars in this looks like a former library Page.

Doctor Who: the complete fifth series starring [English]. Doctor Who travels across time and the universe but somehow, somehow, always ends up in contemporary England.

Weeds: season five starring [I don't know. No names on the box.] Someone online pointed out that the corset wearing actress on the box cover is wearing the corset upside down.

Life by Keith Richards. You already heard about this one.

Dear Mrs. Fitzsimmons: tales of redemption from an Irish mailbox by Greg Fitzsimmons. Funny book.

Wolf: the lives of Jack London by James L. Haley. Boy, was London a mess.

Small Gas Engine Repair by Paul Dempsey. An updated version of a book that checked out so much it was falling apart.

Detroit Disassembled by Andrew Moore. Photos of a decaying and falling apart Detroit. I should shelve this in the travel section. Page 62 has a great catch by Moore of an abandoned public library building with a copy of Edgar Rice Burroughs' The Land that Time Forgot right in the foreground.

I'm Not High by Jim Breuer. "But I've got a lot of crazy stories about life as a Goat Boy, a dad, and spiritual warrior."

The Last Boy: Mickey Mantle and the end of America's childhood by Jane Leavey. I hate to break the news to you, Jane, but America's childhood was over a long time before Mantle was around.
