Three DVDs and Two Books

DVDs

UFC 67: All or Nothing Bouts from the Feb 3, 2007 event in Las Vegas. According to the photos on the back at least two guys get kicked in the head. I bought two UFC DVDs to see how they would do here. The second disc is not cataloged yet.


Hot Fuzz starring Simon Pegg and Nick Frost. Pegg and Frost are the same two dudes who played the leads in Shaun of the Dead and Pegg authored both scripts. Plot: Big city British super-cop Nicholas is transferred to a small town after he starts making all the other cops look bad. His new post is dull, dull, dull and his partner is a bumbler but some new and violent crimes brighten his day.

Fracture starring Anthony Hopkins and Ryan Gosling. Ted (Hopkins) kills his wife, calls the police and signs a confession. But, incredulously, the case starts to rapidly unravel and prosecutor Willy (Gosling) has to outwit Ted make sure he does not go free.

Mystery

Crosshairs by Harry Hunsicker. Former private investigator Lee Henry Oswald has given up his PI work and is staying away from the unsavory side of Dallas life. When scientist Anita begs his help to stop the threats against her daughter Lee steps into the turmoil he wanted to avoid.
