Lots of Military History

DVD

The Wind That Shakes the Barley starring Cillian Murphy, Padraic Delaney, Orla Fitzgerald. Angie the Page said, "I've been wanting to see this." A drama about the Irish Revolution and resulting Civil War. By the way, I wrote that with an Irish accent.

NonFiction

Intimate Voices From the First World War edited by Svetlana Palmer and Sarah Wallis. Court testimony, letters and diary entries from English, Russian, German, Polish, and Turk soldiers and civilians.

The History of the French Foreign Legion: from 1831 to the Present Day by David Jordan. Lots of photos. To join you must shave your head, run (a lot!), and be thin.

Images of Barbarossa: the German invasion of Russia, 1942 by Christopher Ailsby. A general history with many photographs.

Himmler's Crusade: the Nazi expedition to find the origins of the Aryan race by Christopher Hale. More history on the stupidity of the filthy, rotten Nazis.

Complete Encyclopedia of Hunting Rifles and Shotguns by A.E. Hartink. A very nice book. Organized by manufacturer and including everything from run-of-the-mill Marlins to high-end European firearms. High quality color photos.
