All Star Batman & Robin the Boy Wonder: Volume One by Frank Miller and Jim Lee. Apparently Robin has a dark and violent personal history as an orphan just like Batman.
Kidnapped by Robert Louis Stevenson. I listened to Kidnapped on audio not too long ago and enjoyed the story. The illustrations in this one are not to my taste.
Elk's Run by Joshua Hale Fialkov. Elk's Ridge was founded by Vietnam War veterans to be a "place untouched by violence, crime, corruption, or greed." The children are forbidden to leave Elk's Ridge but and an escape attempt ends in tragedy and mob action.

Stunned, the Dark Knight takes the child in, but the boy, raised among the brutal dictates of the League of Assassins, has his own agenda."
El Diablo by Brian Azzarello. "Sheriff Moses Stone has a good life in Bollas Raton: a good job, a loving wife, and a reputation that helps him keep the peace. Once a legendary bounty hunter, "Holy" Moses doesn't chase bad men across the wilderness anymore. At least, not until the outlaw El Diablo pays a harrowing visit to his town."
Civil War by Mark Millar. "In the wake of a tragedy, Capitol Hill proposes the Super Hero Registration Act, requiring all costumed heroes to unmask themselves before the government. Divided, the nation's greatest champions must each decide how to react."
X-Men Gifted and Unstoppable and Dangerous by Joss Whedon.
The Number: 73304-23-4153-6-96-8 by Thomas Ott. "A prison guard finds a slip of paper with a mysterious sequence of numbers, which lead his luck to change from good to bad to worse in this chilling tale from the Swiss horror master."
Ghost Stories: Essex County Vol. 2 by Jeff Lemire. "Ghost Stories follows the lives and relationship of brothers Lou and Vince Lebeuf over the course of nearly seven decades. Eldest brother Low, now a deaf and lonely man, lives out his final days on his farm, full of guilt and regret for the decisions he made that tore his family apart."
Large Print
