Adult Fiction
Moonlight Mile by Dennis Lehane. I think this guy was showing up again at Mystery One in Milwaukee. I just checked the website and, yeah, he is. Murder and Mayhem in Muskego is next weekend too but Lehane is not staying over for that. Some guy called Anthony Neil Smith is will be at Muskego. I'm not sure why he was invited.
EDIT, 13 November 2010: Once again my humor fell flat and appeared insulting rather than than good-natured ribbing. My apologies to the great and mighty, and recently well-traveled, Anthony Neil Smith. My most enjoyable moment at today's event was sitting with and listening to Smith and Victor Gischler chat.
Indulgence in Death by J.D. Robb. I think my wife reads some of these Robb books by Nora Roberts.
Edge by Jeffery Deaver. Speaking of Muskego, Jeffery Deaver attended last year. He is a good dude. According to Deaver's author photo he has grown a van Dyke beard. Also according to his author bio he graduated from Mizzou. Considering Deaver's alumni status I'm not sure why my Kansas wife reads his books. This is what I heard all last weekend while my in-laws were visiting and discussing the upcoming Missouri-Nebraska football game, "I'm not sure who I want to lose more. I hate them both."
Non Fiction
The Hilliker Curse: my pursuit of women by James Ellroy. If you did not already know about Ellroy being screwed up here is the prime away to discover it. No photographs or maps. Victor Gischler - praise his Might - once wrote that he thinks all books should contain maps.
