A Bunch of Books

Fiction

Norse Mythology by Neil Gaiman. A book by the former Wisconsinite. Page 215 says, "It was dark under there."

Autumn: a novel by Ali Smith. I tried reading the dust cover precis and it was gobbledy-gook. Ms. Smith is sitting on a couch for her author photo. The flowers behind her look real.

Salvation Lake by G.M. Ford. Mystery featuring character Leo Waterman. Page 47 says, "Two Pulitzer nominations."

Two Days Gone by Randall Silvis. Police Detective investigates murder of a family and the missing family.

Behind Her Eyes by Sarah Pinborough. "Why is everyone talking about the ending of Behind Her Eyes?" Nice try. I'm not biting.

Garden of Lamentations by Deborah Crombie. Don't get too excited and scream, but this mystery has a hand drawn map on the inside. Yeah!

A Book of American Martyrs by Joyce Carol Oates. religious zealot murders a doctor in Ohio. Do you think Oates ever cares what critics think about her books. She has written so many novels and taught so many students I wonder how much attention to pays to what anyone has to say about the books.

Audiobook on CD

The Prisoner by Alex Berenson. 12.5 hours on 10 CDs.  Spies. I think.
