Punk Rock Punks Produce Album 35 Years Later

...For the Whole World to See by Death. According to allmusic.com the three Hackney brothers of Detroit started playing soul and funk and then moved into the proto-punk scene in 1973. They were signed to a label but refused to change to a friendlier band name. The naming argument caused a rift in the band and only now are all seven of their singles being released on CD.

You don't see many black guys playing punk, which reminds me of The Dirtbombs. The Dirtbombs are also from Detroit and we also have an album of theirs here, We Have You Surrounded, which includes this tune.
