Michael Caine, French Spies, Double Order, Comic Books

DVD

The Square starring [actors]. Wife and her boyfriend plot to steal from her husband. "A stroke of twisted genius!" says the back cover.

Harry Brown starring Michael Caine and lessers. Old guy takes revenge on druggies who killed his best pal.

OSS 117: Cairo, Nest of Spies starring [French actors]. 1955 French spy OSS 117 is sent to Cairo after another spy is killed. OSS 117 is put in charge of a poultry factory. Too bad he is clueless about everything. A comedy. In French.

Fiction

Vermilion Drift by William Kent Kruger. Vermilion is spelled with one "l"? I did not know that.

Portobello by Ruth Rendell. We have two copies of this. Not because Rendell is incredibly popular here but because I accidentally ordered two copies.

Immanuel's Veins by Ted Dekker. Immanuel has just one "n"? I did not know that.

The Thorn by Beverly Lewis. Another Lewis novel with a good looking gal on the cover dressed in black and wearing a head cover.

NonFiction

Marvel Encyclopedia: the definitive guide to the characters of the Marvel Universe: updated and expanded by Alastair Dougall, senior Editor. I looked up Deadpool because Victor Gischler has written some of the stories. I'm still not sure what the deal is with that character. Or any of the characters. I mean, c'mon, there is a guy named Plantman (page 257) who apparently lives in a submarine in the Atlantic.

Don't you have coffee to drink and comics to write?
