Book Excerpt: "One Soldier's War" by Arkady Babchenko

Book Excerpt: One Soldier's War by Arkady Babchenko.

Babchenko was drafted into the Russian Army in 1995 when he was 18-years-old. He fought in the First Chechnya War and was demobilised. Babchenko re-enlisted in 1999 for the Second Chechnya War.

Here is an excerpt that illustrates the Russian Army and Babchenko's experience.

Can't decide whether to use this or the written review on your other blog. It would be next week because we are doing coffee table books this week. Have any reviews of those? I am very loose on what constitutes a coffee table book. (aa2579@wayne.edu)

Containment a good story. Set in Dunedin, New Zealand, and Vanda lives in Dunedin. A great library user.

Dunedin,

I just looked at Symon's webpage and now remember seeing her photos on Dunedin Library's Flickr page when she spoke there.

I cannot recall if I ordered CONTAINMENT after seeing the Flickr event or after reading a book review.
