Handbook to Life in Ancient Mesopotamia by Stephen Bertman.  Page Page 109 says "Observed by his queen and courtiers, Ur-Nanshe, with his son in tow, proudly commences the construction of a new temple.  Below, we see him with drink in hand."

Handbook to Life in Ancient Egypt by Rosalie David.  Page 127 says "Egypt's first step to establish this empire was to repossess Nubia."

Handbook to Life in Ancient Rome by Lesley Adkins and Roy A. Adkins.  Is Lesley the man's or woman's spelling?  Page 386 says "horseshoes 185".

Overlord: the illustrated histoy of the D-Day landings by Ken Ford and Steven J. Zaloga.  Good thing you added in that "J", Zaloga.  Because Zaloga is such a common name.  Page 271 says "1st Dorsets".
