Megan Abbott's New Book, Other Stuff, Smiths Obsession

The Fever by Megan Abbott.  A mysterious illness strikes the girls in a small town high school.  Panic happens when no one can diagnose the cause.  Another assuredly engrossing Abbott novel.

Wait a Minute

Did you say Panic?

Stormy Persuasion by Johanna Lindsey. Muscular male model with long hair has blond
woman groping him on a rainy sailing ship as they hang the blessed DJ.

All Fall Down by Jennifer Weiner.  Roller coaster in the clouds of a provincial town.

The Possibilities by Kaui Hart Hemmings.  Nice illustration by Christopher Lin who slides down leaf lined streets.

That Night by Chevv Stevens.  Leaf in water.  Burn down the disco.

Nantucket Sisters by Nancy Thayer.  Large fabric bags on the beach with flip flop shoes.  It says nothing to me about my life.

The Ice Cream Queen of Orchard Street by Susan Jane Gilman.  Womans legs from the shins down with fallen ice cream cone on pavement.  But, Honey Pie, you're not safe here.

Terminal City by Linda Fairstein.  Elevated view of big stone building in some city.  So you run down to the safety of the town.

Prayer by Philip Kerr.  Wind vane with a dragon on top of the provincial towns you jog around.

Top Secret Twenty-One by Janet Evanovich.  But there's panic on the streets of Carlisle.
