My brother went to the Czech and the Slovak Republics and tracked down sone distant relatives. The relatives gave my brother a bottle of home brewed vodka which he brought to WI when several relatives met here last summer. My goodness was that vodka vile. Yech. The bottle is still at my house.
The DC Comics Encyclopedia: the definitive guide to the characters of the DC universe. Wait. Should "universe" be capitalized in a subtitle? I suppose that depends on the relationship with the company name, DC.

Dog Heroes of September 11th: a tribute to America's search and rescue dogs by Nona Kilgore Bauer. A donation someone decided to add in. I admit I would have skipped this one so if someone else thinks the book will circ I am glad to add it.

The Stolen Child by Lisa Carey. Remote Irish island in 1959 gets an American coming to inherit a cottage and look for a holy well. Carey's photo has her outside wearing a red scarf. My library photo has me inside wearing a black scarf.

Autumn: a novel by Ali Smith. I tried reading the dust cover precis and it was gobbledy-gook. Ms. Smith is sitting on a couch for her author photo. The flowers behind her look real.
Salvation Lake by G.M. Ford. Mystery featuring character Leo Waterman. Page 47 says, "Two Pulitzer nominations."

The Girl Before by JP Delaney. You just know the publisher wanted something with "girl" in the title. The dust cover says JP Delaney is a pseudonym for a famous writer. One guess at the writer's identity is someone named Tony Strong. I never heard of him, which doesn't mean much.
Clownfish Blues by Tim Dorsey. The dust cover plot description says something about crazy people in Florida rigging the lottery.
Fatal by John Lescroart. Police detective has to recognize that her best friend may have killed the man she had an affair with.
Power Game by Christine Feehan. Physically enhanced commando teams up with genetically engineered spy for mission in Indonesia. Feehan's author photo is with a big fluffy looking dog. A BIG dog.

The Antiques by Kris D'Agostino. Siblings get together and either fight or reunite. I'm not sure. I did not read the full plot description on the dust cover.

The Sellout by Paul Betty. The front cover says this is a comic masterpiece.I do not know anything about Beatty except that he has short hair and lives in NYC.
The Ornatrix by Kate Howard. Woman with facial birthmark gets treated poorly and ultimately hired as personal hairdresser to a courtesan. I do not know anything about Kate Howard either. Except she went to U of Kent and has longish hair.
Cover Me in Darkness by Eileen Rendahl. Woman who grew up in a cult deals with suicide of her mother while her mother was in a psych hospital after murdering the woman's brother. Fiction
It's Can't Happen Here by Sinclair Lewis. The back cover says, "A cautionary tale about the fragility of democracy, it is an alarming, eerily timeless look at how fascism could take hold in America." I'm not sure I've ever read a Lewis novel; even school assigned book. Let me check the bib... nope, not a one. But I did watch the Elmer Gantry film.
The Sellout by Paul Betty. The front cover says this is a comic masterpiece.I do not know anything about Beatty except that he has short hair and lives in NYC.
The Ornatrix by Kate Howard. Woman with facial birthmark gets treated poorly and ultimately hired as personal hairdresser to a courtesan. I do not know anything about Kate Howard either. Except she went to U of Kent and has longish hair.
Cover Me in Darkness by Eileen Rendahl. Woman who grew up in a cult deals with suicide of her mother while her mother was in a psych hospital after murdering the woman's brother.
